LUPM UMR5299

The Montpellier Universe and Particles Laboratory is dedicated to exploring the Universe, from its most basic elements to its largest and oldest structures.

His researchers are studying the early universe and primordial nucleosynthesis, elementary particles, dark matter, the objects at the origin of high-energy cosmic rays, the structure of stars, their evolution and their interaction with the interstellar medium.

The laboratory synergizes several approaches in astrophysics, particle physics, astroparticles as well as in cosmology: theory, simulation and modeling, observation, data analysis, instrument design and implementation.

The laboratory is organized around three research teams:

Three research support services complement its organization: Administration, IT department and Scientific instrumentation.
