Sustainable development

In 2022, LUPM set up a working group on sustainable development: the Groupe Impact Evironnemental du LUPM (GIEL). This working group aims to measure and reduce the impact of research activities on the environment. It is made up of around fifteen people.

Measuring and reducing emissions

The LUPM computes its carbon footprint using GES 1point5.

Below you will find links to carbon footprints from previous years:

The GIEL is working on the laboratory’s strategy to reduce its emissions for the coming years, based on these carbon footprints.

Communication and training
  • Rebroadcast of the Labos 1point5 seminars at lunch time
  • Organization of seminars on ecological transition in laboratories
  • Animation of Climate fresks for the lab
  • Organization of vegetarian meal for the lab
