Aujourd'hui 14:00 Salle des Séminaires, Bâtiment 21, Etage 4 (à confirmer) HAMADA Yu (DESY, Hamburg, Germany) Magnetic monopoles in the two-Higgs doublet model (LUPM/Particules, Astroparticules, Cosmologie : Théorie) The two-Higgs doublet model is one of the most popular extensions of the SM Higgs sector and contains one extra Higgs doublet. By imposing a global U(1) symmetry in the extended Higgs potential, the model features the presence of a topological defect called cosmic string. In this talk I will show that this model can also have a more non-trivial object, i.e. a magnetic monopole which is confined on the cosmic string. I will further discuss its stability , its impact on the dynamics of the cosmic string, and baryogenesis. Pour plus d'informations, merci de contacter Ferrante G. |
