However, the origins of high-energy (HE) to ultra-high-energy (UHE) cosmic rays and neutrinos remain unclear. Deciding between the various candidate sources requires a precise modeling of the propagation, acceleration and interactions of cosmic rays, and the subsequent multi-messenger and time-dependent emissions. In order to gain more insight into these physical processes, we study the production of HE-UHE cosmic rays and neutrinos in the vicinity of compact objects. We consider various categories of sources, and selected sources such as tidal disruption events, neutron star mergers or pulsar magnetospheres and winds. In addition, we assess the detectability of HE-UHE cosmic rays and neutrinos with future detectors such as GRAND and POEMMA. Pour plus d'informations, merci de contacter Marcowith A. |
